Our work depends on a Software Developer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD.

As a Software Developer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex software products, or making significant enhancements to existing software.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex new software products, or making significant enhancements to existing software
Identifying root causes and resolving issues
Analyzing and troubleshooting extremely complex software problems and providing solutions using the latest technologies
Integrating new software and web products with existing software and web applications in order to improve the functionality or design of the system
Test software development methodology in an agile environment.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
Analyses and collaborates cross-functionally with data scientists, analyst, project managers and other engineers
Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our organization’s capabilities
What you’ll need:
Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
Minimum of 10 years current and related software development experience
Hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing scalable data platforms, with experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science and data products
Strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of configuration management and big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust scalable solutions that can manage large data sets
Hands-on experience and is familiar with one or more of the following software/tools:
Build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc
Modern programming languages like Java, Python, Scala etc
Building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc
Elasticsearch and relational databases
Hands-on experience with distributed computing systems: Hadoop, Elastic, Spark, EMR, Databricks, or other Knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies: EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, VPC, ELB
Knowledge of servers operating systems: Linux, Windows Strong problem-solving skills Ability to comprehend database methodologies Focus on continual process improvement with a proactive approach to problem solving Ability to follow directions and finish taskings
Passion for continuous improvement and innovation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The likely salary range for this position is $154,960 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
