JO ID# 172701-1
Contract Duration: 12+ Months contract to possible hire
Team Overview:
This team is at the forefront of product management, focusing on cybersecurity and data governance. Engaging with diverse stakeholders, this role requires not only technical expertise but also strong leadership and advisory skills.
Historically, the team operated in a PMO capacity. However, with evolving business needs, there is now a greater emphasis on leadership advisory, demanding a specialized skill set in cybersecurity domains and program management.
IT/ Cyber Audit Role
Primary Experience Focus:
Internal Cyber Functions Audit: Must have experience auditing internal cyber functions, ideally at a large-scale enterprise (preferably a large bank or similar-sized organization).
Large Enterprise Experience: Preference for candidates familiar with the complexities of large organizations, especially within banking or financial services. Big 4 experience is common but not required if candidates have worked on similar scales elsewhere.
Audit Experience Over Depth in Cyber Functions:
Breadth Over Depth: Candidates should demonstrate a range of audit experience across various cyber functions rather than specializing deeply in one area.
General Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiarity with basic frameworks (e.g., NIST) is helpful but not essential. Emphasis is on auditing skill over specific cybersecurity framework expertise.
Role Type and Responsibilities:
Audit Analyst Role: Seeking an audit analyst type rather than an engineer or manager. They need to prepare teams for external audits, ensure proper evidence, and communicate effectively.
Guidance and Preparation: Should be able to walk teams through audit readiness, with a focus on producing well-documented, compelling evidence.
Program Management Skills: Some program management ability is beneficial to coordinate timelines but secondary to providing impactful audit insights.
Avoidance Criteria:
Non-Preferred Backgrounds: Candidates with purely cybersecurity practitioner backgrounds or who perform broad cybersecurity audits (non-internal or non-specific cyber function audits) are less suitable. The ideal candidate is someone who audits cybersecurity functions internally within the organization rather than general cybersecurity compliance.
You will receive the following benefits:
Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your family
Dental & Orthodontia Benefits
Vision Benefits
Health Savings Account (HSA)
Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
Voluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance
