The
Chief Information Security Office (CISO)
is home to deeply talented colleagues that work to ensure the safety of Citi's clients', our revenue, our employees and our proprietary data. We manage information security as one end-to end program – one with a clear mandate and accountability. Our mission is a program that is fully anchored to modern control and architectural frameworks, is fully aligned with the enterprise architecture of the firm and is deeply integrated into the sectors and functions.
The
Information Security Officer (ISO)
is a Vice President senior level professional responsible for driving efforts to prevent, monitor and respond to information/data breaches and cyber-attacks. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the execution of Information Security directives and activities in alignment with Citi's data security policy.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with business, functions and technology units and relevant stakeholders to facilitate/ perform Information Security risk assessment and risk management processes to protect information assets.
Work with business and technology management to drive the information security program and information risk management activities.
Work with the internal Application Development teams to develop strategies and plans for improving architecture and application security.
Provide strategic risk guidance for business and technology projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of IS controls.
Manage security incidents and events to protect corporate IT assets, including intellectual property, regulated data, and the company's reputation.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of applications and systems with focus on Information Security areas.
Facilitate compliance with all Information Security policies, standards and regulations / directives as mandated by Global CISO Organization.
Participate/provide, as required, IS awareness training programs for employees, contractors and approved system users.
Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience
Understanding of the Markets Business preferred
Strong
Stakeholder Management
skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong
Influencing
skills to advocate for security best practices and drive adoption of security initiatives among diverse stakeholders.
Exceptional
Relationship Management
skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships across technical and non-technical teams.
Proactive approach to collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and risk management, to ensure alignment on security initiatives.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear, consistent reporting and training with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in
Information Security Programs
and familiarity with
Threat Detection
and
Vulnerability Management
would be advantageous
Risk assessment expertise, with a focus on understanding and balancing business needs and security requirements.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and mitigate risks while addressing stakeholder concerns and priorities.
Proficient in interpreting and applying policies, standards and procedures
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
