CACI is seeking a Cyber Security Architect (Zero Trust specialty) in support of the Enduring Experimentation for Optimal Networks (EEON) task within the Network Cross-Functional Team (N-CFT). Under the EEON task you be developing, implementing, and managing advanced cybersecurity frameworks that secure tactical networks against modern threats. This position is located in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.
What You’ll Get to Do
:
Will have deep expertise in cybersecurity, network architecture, and Zero Trust principles, ensuring the protection of mission-critical data and systems in tactical environments.
Deep understanding of military operations, network infrastructure, and advanced networking principles.
Duties will include but not limited to the following.
Cybersecurity Architecture Design:
This role requires a deep understanding of military operations, network infrastructure, and advanced networking principles.
Develop and maintain advanced cybersecurity architecture plans tailored for tactical environments, with a focus on Zero Trust principles.
Design secure, resilient, and scalable network architectures to support real-time communications and data transfer.
Zero Trust Implementation:
Implement Zero Trust security models across tactical network environments.
Define and enforce security policies and access controls based on Zero Trust principles.
Network Security Management:
Oversee network security configurations, hardware installations, and upgrades.
Oversee the management and optimization of network security infrastructure, which may include firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure communication channels.
Systems Integration:
Collaborate with IT and operational teams to integrate Zero Trust security solutions with various systems, including sensors, communication systems, and external databases.
Ensure seamless interoperability between different tactical systems while maintaining security.
Security Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure network architectures comply with military standards, regulations, and best practices.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate security risks.
Continuous Monitoring and Optimization:
Utilize advanced security monitoring tools to ensure optimal network performance and detect potential security threats.
Continuously evaluate and optimize security measures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, changes, and procedures.
Provide regular reports on network security status, incident responses, and project progress to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with emerging technologies, threats, and trends in cybersecurity and Zero Trust architecture.
Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance the security and resilience of tactical networks.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
:
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret cIearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in network security, with a significant focus on tactical or military environments.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Zero Trust security architectures.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles and frameworks.
Proficiency in network security tools and protocols.
Familiarity with military communication systems and standards.
Familiarity with DoD standards and regulations, such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Proficiency in security assessment tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
:
An active DoD TS/SCI.
Experience in military or defense-related network security is highly desirable.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant certifications.

: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
