We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner with a proven track record as an agile software product owner. While a background or strong interest in chemistry or materials science is beneficial, the primary focus of this role is on leading agile software development teams to create innovative products for the scientific community. Reporting to the Director of Software Product Management, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, architecture and UX teams to ensure our software products meet the evolving needs of materials and chemical scientists. This position will be hybrid at our New Castle, Delaware facility. Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to Lead the development and prioritization of product backlogs, working closely with engineering teams to ensure software solutions are delivered on time and align with the product vision. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand user requirements and market trends, translating them into actionable product features. Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, securing buy-in from cross-functional teams and executives. Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with the product roadmap. Advocate for user-centered design, ensuring that the user experience is a central focus throughout the product development process. Stay updated on the latest trends in software development, with an interest in applying this knowledge to the materials and chemical sciences sectors. The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following Minimum of 5 years of experience as an agile Product Owner or in a related software product management role, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies. Proven experience in leading agile teams and managing software product lifecycles from ideation to launch. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; background or strong interest in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields is a big plus. Familiarity with software development processes and tools; experience with materials characterization techniques is advantageous but not required. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus among cross-functional teams.
