Job Summary:
The Data Center/Systems Administrator II will provide IT Infrastructure support for Intel's Developer Software Engineering (DSE) lab computer systems.
Key responsibilities involve configuring, maintaining, and supporting high-performance computing clusters in a lab environment, primarily with Linux-based systems and high-speed data center networking.
The role includes working with pre-production and production servers, implementing automation scripts, and supporting DSE lab infrastructure, while ensuring compliance with Intel's security standards.
Key Responsibilities:Build, configure, and maintain high-performance computing clusters and test beds with Linux-based systems.Install and troubleshoot servers, GPUs, switches, and software in production and pre-production environments.Develop and implement automation scripts for provisioning and configuration of cluster systems.Manage OS provisioning for Linux and Windows platforms using tools such as Intel Deploy Commander, FOG, and AWX.Resolve infrastructure incidents and requests from support teams and DSE partners.Provide hardware support, system assembly, parts replacement, and inventory management.Collaborate with Network and IT Security teams to design and implement secure lab networks.Maintain IT service management systems and create documentation for troubleshooting and operations.Engage with DSE engineers to improve lab infrastructure usability, quality, and maintainability.Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows Server administration and hardware support (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu).2+ years of experience in storage administration (SAN/3PAR, EMC, NetApp NFS/CIFS).2+ years of experience in client support administration (Windows XP, 7, 10, 11).2+ years of experience in virtualization (MS Hyper-V, VMware).Proficiency with enterprise OS provisioning software (Altiris, BigFix, WDE, FOG).Experience in lab and datacenter environments.Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in high-performance Linux clustering.Advanced TCP/IP management, including DNS and DHCP.Experience in scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, or shell scripting.Knowledge of network file storage and backup administration.Familiarity with Jenkins CI and software testing methodologies.BS Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years in infrastructure administration.
