Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:
1.Lead the facility in implementing safe work practices and driving a safety first culture.
2.Supervise a small team of experienced technicians with various abilities.
3.Investigates and initiates corrective actions for process/shop floor problems arising in the manufacturing, inspection and testing of development products and processes.
4.Coordinate deliverables with MCT's owners and customers to meet project milestones.
5.Establishes operating procedures, improves processing techniques and introduces new process equipment to the development facility. Interfaces with design/maintenance staff and technicians to ensure that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.
6.Establishes and enforces the shop schedule balancing the priorities of the engineering staff.
7.Utilizes data acquisition software and sensors to improve the fundamental understanding of foundry processes and improve process control.
8.Perform in a multi-disciplinary research and development environment.
Assignments typically will include process development, materials testing, supervision, report preparation, and other activities requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific area of assignments.
Must be capable of delivering on commitments in a timely and efficient manner.
Additional Responsibilities:1.May be involved in training and developing less experienced technical personnel.
2.Observe the Hitchiner code of conduct, safety and quality principles.
3.Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
2. 3 - 4 years or equivalent knowledge / experience.
3. Familiar with a variety of concepts within the mechanical, electrical and materials engineering fields. Must possess good communication and organizational skills.
4. Computer literacy is a must, including competency in general MS Office applications, technical computer modeling and statistical tools.
