Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Manager is responsible for the collection, management, and analysis of data. completes required assessments (QSA, SACERS, DESSA); compiles program metric reporting; conducts focus groups & surveys; inputs/tracks attendance; monitors program's performance, analyzes data, & generates reports to inform decision-making.
Data Collection and Management:In collaboration with program directors and/or coordinators, develop systems to accurately and efficiently track program enrollment, participation, and attendanceEnter all program data into relevant databasesComplete weekly data audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency and completenessReview all LEAPs program data for accuracy in preparation for analysisData Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze LEAPs program data and prepare reports for Program Directors, Program Coordinators, and Community MembersData Security and Compliance:
Train staff in data handling procedures and data confidentiality and integrityEnsure compliance with data protection and securityQualitative Data Collection:
Conduct focus groups with parents/youth to develop Key Performance Indicators for the programTechnical Support and Training:
Train staff in data entry and reportingDevelop training for new staff to learn data managementCollaboration and Communication:
Work with program staff to understand data needs and reporting requirementsCOMPETENCIES
Proficiency in Excel recommendedProficient in data cleaning and management in ExcelProficient in performing VLOOKUPs, COUNTIF(s), creating conditional IF statements, and Pivot TablesInterest in education development and passion for working with students and families on program developmentData Management and Visualization experience is a plus (for example at a former position or internship)Experience with qualitative data collection/analysis is a plusExperience managing secure documentation/exams is a plusInterest in developing R and/or Python skills is a plusInterest in learning Tableau and/or prior knowledge of the software is also a plus
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
BA or BS in a related field (marketing, economics, computer science, statistics, education, Social Science Research, etc.) required
