United Launch Alliance (ULA) seeks a skilled Subcontract Management Specialist to support the General Procurement team at the ULA production facility in Decatur, AL.The primary role of this individual within the General Procurement team is to: facilitate purchasing activities for acquisition of hardware required by the enterprise with a focus on integrated Supply Chain strategy and strategic sourcing analysis.Directs and manages all cost, schedule and technical performance requirements levied on the subcontractor or the product family, ensuring performance in compliance with all technical requirements and contract milestones.Assists in development of subcontract specifications, work statements, terms and conditions and other technical requirements documents.Serves as a focal point for the subcontractor.Briefs ULA executive management and customers regarding subcontract status and issues affecting subcontract performance or cost.Conducts and/or supports program reviews with the subcontractor and ULA /Customer program offices.Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from engineering release through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, and cost accountability.Makes decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor; establishes milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.Possess advanced price analysis, proposal evaluation and negotiation skills aimed at reducing total cost of ownership to ULA for hardware.Identify and resolve supply chain constraints, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop executable, cost effective solutions.Required EducationBachelorRequired Years of ExperienceMinimum of 4 years of related work experienceBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or relevant field from an accredited college or universityMicrosoft Excel experience with an understanding of advanced functions and pivot tablesExperience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Business Experience with purchasing policies and proceduresDemonstrate proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (SAP preferred)Demonstrate capability in developing and applying basic professional analytical techniques to develop solutions for problemsStrong project management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with both purchasing and material planningExperience working in a manufacturing environment with multi-functional teamsProactive, independent worker with the demonstrated capacity to work in a dynamic team environmentImpeccable attention to detail, passion for driving change and ability to look at big pictureSuperior written and verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical and numerical skillsExtremely organized with strong time-management skillsWhat makes ULA different?Because we understand launch success comes through the collective efforts of a team, we seek the best to join us.
