This position is eligible for telework two (2) days a week, in accordance with DGS's Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Come join a team that creates:A collaborative team atmosphere founded upon ethics, integrity, and stewardship.A positive work environment that is open to change and invites its workforce to challenge processes.An opportunity for individuals to utilize their knowledge, skills, and experience to grow within the department.Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the position is responsible for providing support to the Pricipal Structural Engineer (PSE) and Supervising Structural Engineers of design and field operations by researching, analyzing, creating, managing and administering code rulemaking and interpretive documents, policies and procedures to prepare consistent, innovative solutions related to structural safety and engineering in accordance with DSA rules, California Building Standards Law, the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 24, and other governing regulatory requirements.

This position may be downgraded to Staff Services Analyst for recruitment purposes. If downgraded, duties will be adjusted accordingly.
