At Alila Hotels, a Hyatt Hotels brand, we believe our guests select our luxury resort because of our caring and attentive colleagues who are focused on providing efficient service and meaningful, surprisingly different experiences.As the Manager, you will be accountablefor leading a team and maintaining all equipment, systems, and building components including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile, information technology and to be the liaison between facility and service contractors for on-property needs.The person is also in charge of maintaining all equipment in guest rooms, conducting monthly safety inspections and training the staff on safety and emergency procedures, and working with vendors. The Manager must be willing to respond to emergencies and be responsible for the Safety & Security department.Supervisor’s Core FunctionsAdhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues andguests.Ensure proper execution of work order/systems requests and that items are completed in a timely manner by self and the team. Supervise necessary repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel.Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies and rules to ensure an efficient department.Maintain logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution of items to the team and within the hotel.Inspects and observes equipment in operation for defects, locates causes of trouble in equipment or functionality of spaces and troubleshoots as appropriate.Ensure that meter readings are taken daily on heat and light and review information to evaluate consumption.Ensures Engineers maintain clean, organized, and safe working areas and Engineering shop.Strong background in the following: Hvac, refrigeration, vrf systems, boilers, steam rooms, kitchen appliances (hot and cold side), plumbing, electrical, laundry, painting, & carpentry.Assist Director of Engineering in supervising and training all Engineers in guest service, standard operating procedures, loss prevention, and other trainings as assigned.Ensure all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested and certified per Hyatt standards.Assists the Director of Engineering with any major projects, including administration of vendor contracts controlled by the engineering department, and scheduling services.Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel and communicate effectively with guests and fellow colleagues.Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.Other duties as assigned.Respond and complete HotSoS tickets.Hands on with some administration responsibilities.Compensation $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 AnnualWhy Work at Hyatt?12 Complimentary hotel room nights (per year) after 90 days of employment.Discounted room nights on first day of employmentFree Parking8 Paid Holidays per yearPaid time offMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance – (Full-Time colleagues)Flexible Spending Account (Full-Time colleagues)Retirement Savings PlanTuition ReimbursementBasic Life InsuranceOpportunities to work around the world with Hyatt Hotels and ResortHyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
