Basic QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities for this PositionGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems has an opening for an Information Assurance Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Strong use and understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theoriesPerforms or leads security requirements analysis, security requirements definition, system security design, security architecture generation, security trade studies, and security verification and validation with little or no supervisionBasic understanding of satellite systems, satellite ground systemsStrong understanding of cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs and other government security specifications and guidelinesStrong knowledge of cyber security technology and trendsContributes to the achievement of business objectivesRecognizes and incorporates various security designs and lessons learnedStrong written and verbal communications skillsAble to sell concepts and ideasEffective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions as they affect the cyber design and implementationStrong ability in reporting relevant cyber systems engineering designRegular contact with senior levels of security work groupsAbility to lead security work groupsMust have a DoD TS/SCI ClearanceLead efforts to categorize vulnerabilities and document recommendationsFrequent communication with program stakeholders including product owners, developers, lab personnel, and Systems Security Engineering team membersDistinguishing features include, but are not limited to the following:Active cybersecurity certifications such as ISC2 CISSPUnderstanding Linux systemsUnderstanding of real-time and embedded systemsFamiliar with DISA STIGs, including nomenclature and toolingFamiliar with DoD security tools - ACAS / Nessus, HBSS / EPO, SCC, etc.#CJ3#LI-HybridTarget salary range: USD $142,601.00/Yr. - USD $158,198.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
