About this Role:The Provider Enrollment Division is responsible for the Screening, Enrollment, Monitoring, and Recertification of Medi-Cal providers. Under close supervision of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, the Student Assistant will be reviewing and processing provider applications, and/or updates to enrollment records, preparing correspondence to providers and stakeholders, coordination and scheduling of meetings, and working with state and federal statutes.

Application UnitThe Student Assistant will perform less complex research, analysis, and evaluation of provider enrollment applications and/or records in the Medi-Cal Program.
Policy UnitThe Student Assistant will perform less complex research, analysis, evaluation and preparation of written materials including memos, policy statements, and issue papers relating to Provider Enrollment applications for the Medi-Cal Program.
Training UnitThe Student Assistant will perform less complex research, analysis, and evaluation of provider enrollment applications and/or records in the Medi-Cal Program.

Telework Information
The DHCS standard for hybrid work is a minimum of two days per week in-person and site-based and up to three teleworking days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department's operational business needs and subject to change consistent with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 - 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.
Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
