Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for managing efforts related to the organization’s youth baseball outreach including:
Uniform Program – Primary contact for purchasing, managing inventory, and distributing merchandise to all youth leagues as well as developing and executing plans for ongoing program expansionChampions Day Series – Drive planning, managing and execution of initiatives that honor and engage youth baseball championship teams including a ceremony at the ballpark.Clinics – plan, manage and execute a variety of clinics; oversee interns in clinic executionWork in concert with the Director of Youth Programming to develop new areas of youth baseball supportServe as the department’s primary point of contact for various youth baseball organizationsAct as the voice of the community and collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships department to implement youth baseball efforts with current and future sponsors.Engage and building relationships that facilitate the team’s in-kind donations, supervises interns work on fulfillment, and compiles end-of-year reporting.Identifies key opportunities that both engage and grow our communities.Provides administrative oversight (sorting mail, making IT requests, scheduling, etc.) to ensure efficient departmental operationsCollaborate with facilities and administration staff to ensure that storage spaces are organized and office supplies are always on hand.Assist the marketing, social and communications team with coordination and execution of various marketing request.Supports Director of Youth Programming, Director of Military Affairs, and Senior Vice President in execution of other community programming (military outreach, K-12 education, MLB initiatives)Works with Director of Youth Programming to hire and train internsSupports the Senior Vice President, Community Engagement with civic partnerships and activationOther duties as assigned
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in community programming and/or corporate philanthropyMinimum of a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Sports Management, another closely related field or equivalent experienceKnowledge of community programs, organizations and methods involved in developing community relations programsHigh character; ability to exercise discretion with confidential mattersStrong presentation skills (written and verbal)Strong organizational skillsWorking knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, with particular expertise in Excel and database managementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.The position will have game day responsibilities that may include exposure to weather conditions including extreme temperatures.The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.The position will require walking throughout the facility, as well as standing for extended periods of time.The employee must have a flexible schedule that allows for the possibility of working a combination of days, evenings, weekends and holidays.Compensation:
The projected annual salary range for this position is $55,000 - $63,400 per year. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
