Summary:

At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 27 distribution facilities across 20 states, we're seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager professional to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Environment, this role will be support environmental, safety and security (EHS&S) programs along with project management of various projects including construction. This position will be part of the Corporate Risk Management team.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Manages EHS&S programs, training, and procedures to support overall compliance and adherence to Harcros' policies and regulatory practices. This includes compliance with federal (i.e., EPA, OSHA), state, local laws/codes/permits, regulations, standards, and best practices.Effectively communicate hazards and risks to prevent incidents and promote an effective safety culture.Work closely with local site managers to help organize, administer, and enhance EHS&S Programs.Providing leadership and guidance to manufacturing and distribution in Dalton on projects associated with safety, construction, engineering, and compliance.Coordinate with internal management to develop the conceptual scope of work for construction and site improvements. Coordinate with external vendors to prepare plans and specifications for the approved budgets and oversee implementation of projects.Audit compliance with the above programs.Develop/write technical memos, regulatory reports, permitting, work plans, proposals, and cost estimates.Coordinate activities with regulatory agencies for permitting and to verify compliance, resolve situations, and maintain a cooperative working relationship.Coordinate waste profile and disposal including Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal, and Special Wastes.Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.Conduct training for employees as required.Support quality programs and process improvements.Employee may perform other related duties as needed by the organization.Other duties may be assigned.Travel approximately 25% of the time.Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering1-7 years of related experience and/or training.Master's degree, Professional Engineering License, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional is a plus.OR equivalent combination of education and experience.The Required Skills We Are Looking For:

Skilled in effectively presenting information and addressing questions from managers, employees, and customers.Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.Strong ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts essential for engineering design and evaluation, including exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.Competent in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.Demonstrated ability to effectively use Office 365 applications.Familiar with environmental laws and regulations.Experienced in training techniques for technical and professional courses.Capable of collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds to build an effective team.The Impact You Will Make:

Frequently standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and perform tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Work Environment:
