The Residential Landscape Contractor [RLC] division of The Toro Company develops and sells inventive outdoor power equipment for use on residential and municipal properties. It is committed to delivering superior innovation and customer care. We are seeking a talented and motivated Marketing Manager to join our growing team and contribute to the success of our marketing initiatives, drive profitable growth in the business and deliver best in class post-sale customer experience.

As an RLC division Marketing Manage r, you'll lead the parts, accessories, and services business for Mass Channel and E-commerce across the U.S. and Canada with a goal of delivering best in class post-sale customer experience and maximizing customer lifetime value. Your role involves profitably growing the business by ensuring elements necessary for a great customer experience are available to our partners and consumers. Key tasks include strategizing for these channels, setting product mix, pricing, promotions, partnering with the sales teams, and coordinating with the marketing and communications teams. We're seeking an experienced and driven individual who can develop and execute effective strategies.

Work Location:

This opportunity is based out of Bloomington, MN international headquarters. The current team works 5-days on-site; however will consider a hybrid schedule of 3 days on campus, 2 optional remote days from a home office.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

Support the overall business category initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams and driving innovation in channel marketing and sales strategies.

Deliver on financial goals and channel development objectives for the RLC service parts and accessories business via divisional collaborations with product category leaders, marketing communications, sales and internal/external supplier partnerships.

Manage the product assortment and pricing of products sold through the mass sales channel

Foster growth of major mass channel customers and e-commerce partners via account management

Direct retail sales promotional strategy through price models, cross-channel analysis and competitive marketplace intelligence.

Evaluate competitive marketplace and identify differentiators to support messaging and new product development opportunities.

Track market reaction, acceptance, and effectiveness of product content, marketing programs, and policies.

Utilize various digital tools to provide guidance for meaningful market share and margin improvements.

Effectively present recommended objectives, strategies, action plans, and business policies to the division management team.

Develop and maintain content within the product information management system for RLC service parts and accessories.

Represent Toro’s channel partners and consumers during internal conversations.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our marketing strategies are effective.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required, MBA preferred.

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in product development, marketing, and/or sales within mass retail and/or e-commerce channels. Ability to think creatively and manage multiple projects at one time.

A solid grasp of mass retail demands, consumer marketing strategies, and e-commerce is essential. Interest in managing a wide range of responsibilities, from content management to product development, account management, and customer engagement.

Self-starter, willing to pave a possible new path to support and learn about multiple internal stakeholders and external customer groups. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies within a multi-channel business. Comfortable asking questions and seeking answers. A customer-forward mindset. Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite required. SAP, Salesforce, and PowerBI prior experience preferred.

Travel required ~10-20%, for industry / customer events and customer research (travel anticipated within the domestic USA, and potentially Canada).

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
