This role will be participating in a hybrid work schedule - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday will be in-office workdays.
Position will rotate through a variety of finance and accounting roles within the team pending final placement. Rotations will cover Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Corporate Accounting and Business Unit Accounting.
What You'll Do:
Assist in preparing and entering monthly journal entriesSupport month-end closing process and preparation of company financial statementsAssess current accounting operations and identify areas for improvementMaintaining and updating company's financial records, including general ledger, fixed asset management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable using generally accepted accounting principles and practicesAssist in performing monthly detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accountsProcessing and recording cash receipts as well as requests for approved and documented disbursementsAssist in ensuring adequate financial and internal controlsAssist in preparing documentation for external auditorsAssist in performing financial analyses and special projects as requestedWhat We're Looking For:
Graduating Spring 2025August 2025 cohort start dateAccounting or Finance majorKnowledge of debits/creditsExperience working in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)A demonstrated track record of success academically or in prior internships, with experience proactively taking ownership of important projectsIntellectual curiosity with a desire to work with data sets and compelling business challengesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenSelf-motivated with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skillsGood organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentMust be a team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleaguesA steady desire and commitment to get better every day
