is seeking a Database Administrator with a Secret clearance to support
EHS
and our government customer.
This is a Remote opportunity.

The Database Administrator will support AWS cloud-based migration and/or operations maintaining the client's enterprise reporting application.
The ideal candidate is dedicated to strengthening and maintaining his/her skillset to match the need of the work environment. There is a potential for occasional face-to-face SAFe ceremonies on occasion. The client is located in Clarksburg, WV which Travel would be covered by the Client.
Responsibilities:Support all activities related to the administration of computerized databasesProject long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems functionDesign, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environmentConduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of dataAdvise users on access to various client/server databasesDesigns, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methodsApply knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., COGNOS)/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL)Perform database programming and support systems designMaintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database designDatabase performance tuning, database upgrades, and database patching to all COTS database productsDatabase script writing, database storage management, database interfaces, external application database interfaces, and other systems database interfacingProvide general operating system and application administrationProvide support from the hardware level through to the applications running to support a servicePerformance tuning, hardware replacement, firmware upgrades, and patching to all COTS software products, including operating systemsScript writing, data storage management, network interfaces, external peripheral interfaces, and others systems interfacingRequirements:
Secret clearance required.Must have 4 years relevant experience w/bachelor's degree or higherKnowledge of one or more of these technologies is preferred: Oracle, AWS, PostGres/Managed Aurora PostGres, Dynamo DB, or DB2Security Requirements:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Secret clearance is required.
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
