Summary
We are looking for an outstanding controller that will be responsible for building and leading our accounting team, financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, tax, GL reporting, instituting controls and processes, and serving as a partner to the rest of the company. The successful candidate will be able to operate a world class accounting function that will match the trajectory of a rapidly growing company with operations and finance in multiple geographies.
Responsibilities:Build and lead a team to perform all accounting functions including responsibilities for the general ledger, accounts payable, tax, revenue recognition, and fixed assetsEnsure accurate accounting for complex multi-year contracts comprised of recurring revenue and hardware deliveries, investments, inventory, and multi-entity consolidationsOwn and optimize the financial close processPrepare timely and accurate financials that are in accordance with US GAAPImplement consistent and scalable systems and processes that will support a growing organization, which includes influencing the strategic direction of our financial systemsDevelop balanced internal controls, guidelines and proceduresManage relationships with auditors and external accounting/tax advisorsProvide technical accounting guidance and leadershipAs a critical member of the team, partner with leaders of the organization to provide financial visibility and insights that inform decision makingRequired Minimum Experience:
10 years of experience throughout the accounting function3-5 years with a public accounting firmPrior experience as the lead in producing GAAP financialsExperience taking a company from the early stages of accounting systems and processes through to the next level of maturity and beyondHave managed an audit processExperience with manufacturing businesses, costing, and inventory systemsExperience in recurring revenue businesses a plusBachelor's Degree. Concentration in Accounting preferredA technical accounting background, CPA requiredAbility to operate independently and set priorities, identify opportunities for improvement and execute on those opportunitiesExcited to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and own critical decision-making responsibilities
