What You've AccomplishedYou have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or FORTRAN.
Experience with design and development of graphical user interfaces (GUI), preferably with C++, Qt, or Python.

As an Experienced Engineering Software Developer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:Working with other Engineering teams to define new or revised software requirements.Program new or revise existing tools that (1) simulate the physical phenomena occurring in a nuclear plant or (2) automate data analysis and visualization workflows for engineers. Perform testing to verify and validate software performance in accordance with quality assurance procedures.Provide input High Performance Computing (HPC) system hardware needs to support engineering activities.Optimize software runtime performance.
