We're seeking a highly skilled
Senior Database Engineer
with a minimum of 7 years of experience, particularly in Microsoft SQL Server and cloud-based technologies. This role is ideal for someone with advanced database development expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Managed Instances is a major plus. Key Responsibilities:
Database Design & Optimization : Design, develop, and optimize scalable database structures and workflows for performance and reliability.
ETL Processes : Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory for seamless data integration and transformation.
Performance Tuning : Execute performance tuning and query optimization using SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, and related tools to enhance database efficiency.
Advanced SQL Development : Create complex stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and more to support dynamic data solutions.
Database Architecture Collaboration : Partner with engineering teams to design and implement database architecture for both on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
Operational Support : Manage and support database operations, including backup and disaster recovery strategies across Azure and on-premises SQL environments.
Reporting : Provide expertise in reporting through SSRS and Power BI for impactful data visualization.
Required Skills:
Experience in Small to Midsize Company Environments : Proven ability to adapt and thrive in smaller, agile teams where versatility and hands-on work are essential.
Collaborative Development : Works closely with software developers and engineers to design, integrate, and optimize databases that support application needs and project goals.
SQL Server & Azure Expertise : 7+ years of in-depth SQL Server and Azure database experience, including T-SQL and complex query optimization.
Cloud Database Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
Reporting & Visualization : Proficiency with SSRS and Power BI for data reporting and visualization.
High-Availability & DevOps : Knowledge of DevOps practices and high-availability solutions for databases.
Strong Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
