Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility : Develop internal and external relationships and sell SBA banking products to commercial business customers. Originate SBA loans and lines of credit. Work with portfolio manager to satisfy SBA requirements.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
With or without reasonable accommodation must be able to perform all essential job functions as described below.Cultivate internal and external business relationships, prospects and opportunities that result in new loan and deposit relationships. Represent the bank at business and community events. Interview potential clients, determine their loan requirements, and introduce and facilitate the sale of appropriate bank products and services.Negotiate, recommend and close SBA loans and lines of credit.Collaborate with the cash management team to facilitate the onboarding a full banking relationship with SBA clients.Collaborate with SBA loan center manager to educate internal loan officers and external stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications to Perform Essential Functions:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Aptitude for sales and business development.Knowledge of commercial credit products, concepts, processes, and functions.Knowledge of applicable federal/state banking regulations.Knowledge of business management and planning tools, including financial statements and ratios, budgets, inventory and accounts receivable turnover.Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements, business reports and legal documents.Professional demeanor and verbal communication skills.Good judgement, decision making and problem-solving skills.Effective business writing skills.Aptitude for detail and organization.Computer proficiency, including internet browsers and Microsoft Office Suite products.Proficiency at speaking, reading and writing English.Ability to perform essential job functions under general supervision.Experience and/or Education:Three years of SBA 7a and 504 lending experience.Three years of financial analysis and credit acumen.Bachelor's degree in business/ accounting or equivalent training/experience.Travel/Physical Demands:Ability to travel to client and business event locations (driving requires continuous possession of a valid driver's license and the minimum level of auto insurance).
