Database Administrator
to work

Tampa, FL office
location.The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the company's databases. Ensures the database is effective for all users and requires a sustainable long term plan for support requirements.Responsibilities
Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security
Map out the conceptual design for a planned database in outlineConsider both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-usersRefine the logical design so it can be translated into a specific data modelFurther refine the physical design to meet system storage requirementsInstall and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS)Maintain data standardsContribute to Data Governance programWrite database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)Control access permissions and privilegesDevelop, manage and test back-up and recovery plansEnsure storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctlyCapacity planningWork closely with IT project managers and application developersCommunicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and securityCommissioning and installing new applications and customizing existing applications in order to make them fit for purposeAdminister all production, test and development databases which includes extensive replicationAlong with the software development team, this person will also:
Maintain and develop ETL processes using SSIS and stored proceduresMaintain and develop a data warehouse for online analytic processing (OLAP) and cube developmentMaintain and develop reports utilizing SSRS
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in one of the following subject areas preferred: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field3+ years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices required.Must have good understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environmentsMust have experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniquesPrior knowledge of reporting and query tools and practicesMust have good understanding of the organizations goals and objectivesMust have technical documentation skillsAbility to work effectively with co-workers by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner, be able to listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from othersMust be self-motivated and self-directedMust have proven experience at identifying problems and delivering assistance to resolve themMust be able to maintain confidentialityMust be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environmentWHO WE AREExamWorks is a leading provider of innovative healthcare services including independent medical examinations, peer reviews, bill reviews, Medicare compliance, case management, record retrieval, document management and related services.
