Overview
Supervise the personnel and activities that provide the continuous and cost-effective flow of gas and electric material from the Transmission and Distribution storerooms. Effectively manage the assigned portion of the material and supply processes; including Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) compliance. Achieve an excellent level of service in support of the Company's material needs.

Plan, organize, and direct the activities of all personnel responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing of materials and supplies to ensure efficient stores operations and to achieve an excellent level of service. Supervise assigned personnel to ensure compliance with all contractual agreements and associated administrative requirements and procedural compliance. Provide proper control and maintenance of adequate and economical inventory; perform necessary inventories in conformity with policies and procedures; and coordinate adjustments and deliveries. Ensure achievement of departmental goals. Develop and maintain knowledge of the Oracle Supply Chain system, and continually evaluate, reclassify, reordering levels of materials throughout life cycle. Work with Operations divisional superintendents and other user department personnel to identify short-term material and supply requirements. Monitor and regulate flow of tools, safety material, and work equipment. Maintain orderly and efficient storerooms; properly store and protect material and equipment as required in storerooms and storage yards. Ensure excellent housekeeping at all times. Provide twenty-four (24) hour response capabilities in the event of substantial off-shift emergencies such as storms and ensure that all security measures are enforced at all times. Assist in preparation of work and budget forecasts, and special studies/projects as required. Maintain regulatory and contractual records as required in the operation of the department. Participate in various committees and task forces. Identify process improvements, new technology and training improvements to enhance the department. Perform administrative functions including timekeeping, training and other records pertaining to Stores employees. Must be available 24/7, and available to be on call and/or participate in off-hour emergency response activities as required. Participates in the Companys emergency management processes and storm plans. Performs other related tasks and assignments as required. Qualifications Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of customer service, operational, and or logistics experience. or Associate's Degree and 4 years of customer service, operational, and or logistics experience. or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of customer service, operational, and or logistics experience. Relevant Work Experience
Must have demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office and Mainframe & Web based systems and the ability to coordinate with other departments. Required Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to foster a team spirited work environment in support of Orange & Rocklands and Con Edisons Corporate Values. Required Must be able to balance priorities, handle multiple assignments with changing priorities and take decisive action. Required Must be able to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions. Required Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating a clear and logical style that is easy to understand. Required Must have the ability to work with all levels of management and union personnel. Required Must have thorough knowledge of Company policies and practices, EH&S procedures and practices. Required Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Required Familiarity with storeroom operations and knowledge of the various equipment and materials used by various operating organizations is preferred. Preferred Prior experience with various computer systems such as Oracle (EBusiness Suites and PeopleSoft), GINV, WMS, and Transformer Asset System is preferred. Preferred Must be available to work other shifts when necessary. Preferred Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Preferred Licenses And Certfications

Ability to respond to system emergencies Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold Perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions Ability to climb ladders and stairs Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces) Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday Unload materials from delivery vehicles and deliver equipment and materials to various operating facilities Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle. Acknowledge that reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure Additional Physical Demands

The position requires working in all types of weather conditions when in the field, as well as climbing and working in areas of limited space.
