OverviewKnowledge Services is seeking a Data Project Manager for a contract-to-hire role in Indianapolis, IN.
Hybrid work schedule with a few days onsite each week in Zionsville, IN.

ResponsibilitiesData Project Manager Responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture, governance, and analytics, with a proven track record of managing data migrations and integrations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while supporting the overall data strategy of the organization.• Project manage the end-to-end management of data projects, including data migration, integration, and governance initiatives.• Facilitate Agile ceremonies like Sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, etc.• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.• Manage the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery, while monitoring risks, timelines, and budgets.• Develop and maintain program roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology strategies.• Communicate and coordinate with Program Management Office and Transformation responsible parties• Review compliance with industry standards and best practices for data governance and security.
QualificationsData Project Manager Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.• 5+ years of experience managing data-centric projects, including migrations and integrations.• Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and analytics tools (e.g., SOL, ETL processes, cloud data platforms).• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.• Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation for large, complex programs.• Demonstrated experience with risk management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution within technical programs.• Experience with Smartsheet
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile)• 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining standards, reporting, and dashboards within Jira.
