We are searching for a litigation paralegal for a plaintiff's firm in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal Litigation Paralegal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of the litigation process from maintaining case documents/databases, discovery work, drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit. Must be comfortable with state and federal e-filing and be able to assist in all aspects of case management. Candidates must have strong communication skills to communicate with both clients and attorneys.Sample responsibilities:Preparation and service of PleadingsMaintaining case documents/databasesReviewing case documents and preparing case chronologiesPreparing the first draft of discovery including drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admitDrafting and serving subpoenasLegal Document preparation and drafting including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.Familiarity with legal terminology and SC Civil Procedure requirementsMust be comfortable with state and federal e-filingMinimum requirements and other qualifications:Bachelor's or Associates degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate2-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal at a law firmGreat customer service skills, both in-person and over the phoneStrong personal work ethic and ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervisionExcellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills, with the ability to be detail-orientedStrong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaborativelyAbility to multitask and prioritize caseload and daily tasksAbility to work overtimeThis position offers competitive compensation and benefits, commensurate with the scope of the position and a candidate's expertise and experience.All resumes are held in strict confidence.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
