This is a critical part of the firms health so you will be working on essential applications that play a key part in the day-to-day compliance with Federal regulations. This includes applications that source data from various internal and external sources, translate disparate data into a common domain model, calculate near real-time liquidity numbers, and display results and reporting on a UI.We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex technology operations for processing large amounts of data pulled from various sources several times a day, with special emphasis around continuous improvement (CI/CD) of processes by applying modern engineering principles around TDD and BDD. You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world Through Clients' Eyes.**What You Are Good At**+ Understanding complex user requests and clarifying and communicating the objectives in a clear and concise manner.+ Contributing to projects with significant complexity and scope.+ Making a positive influence on your team members and peers.+ Implementing RESTful services, APIs, and web-based applications with an eye for clean, testable code.+ Baking quality into the entire SDLC, from unit testing through end-to-end QA Automation.+ Automating CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, and Veracode.+ Working with tech leads, business partners, product owner, and BSAs to help define requirements and contribute to growing system knowledge.+ Quickly troubleshooting issues with Production Support to ensure that our intra-day processing requirements are met.**What you have****Required Qualifications:**+ A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.+ Hands on experience gained through 4-5+ years in a software development role.+ Experience with full stack application development technologies using Java 17, Spring Framework, Angular, REST Web Services, JSON/XML and Relational (SQL/Oracle) databases including data warehouses.+ A strong knowledge of cloud technologies including cloud-ready architecture best practices.+ Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly liquidity concerns like stress testing, is nice to have, but not required.+ The ability to work independently and to effectively interact and collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leaders.+ Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.+ The ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies.+ Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environment.**Whats in it for you**At Schwab, were committed to empowering our employees personal and professional success.
