Description

We are looking for a Podcast Strategist to join the Revenue Operations & Strategy team that supports Wondery’s advertising business. In this role, you will act as a vital link between our Originals Content team, Partner teams, and podcast talent to create new moneization opportunities. You’ll collaborate closely with studio teams, partner teams, Ad Sales, Ad Production, and Marketing to launch new shows and offerings while creating unique and exiciting branded content integrations.

Key job responsibilities

Act as a key liaison between Content, Partner Management, Ad Production, Marketing, and podcast talent to define how podcasts are monetized through advertising.

Work with editorial and content teams to translate upcoming show launches into revenue-generating opportunities for the Sales team.

Coordinate with Content and Marketing teams during the Upfront sales process to integrate “first-look” opportunities, marketing promotional support, and other benefits that help sell through annual spend commitments from our most strategic advertisers.

Partner with teams to develop branded content or advertising integrations for priority podcasts.

Create a scalable and repeatable process for launching new shows and monetization opportunities for ad sales.

Establish a system for providing ad sales insights and feedback to content teams, shaping future content development and licensing opportunities.

Work closely with our Pricing & Inventory Lead to determine rates and other buying guidelines for new sales opportunities

Ensure our advertising collateral are tied to and accurately reflect the overall editorial tone and positioning of our podcasts, working cross-functionally to ensure we have the best narrative in market

Ensure smooth onboarding of new partner podcasts to the Advertising organization and maintain strong relationships with podcast talent, facilitating clarity and minimizing disruption in sales efforts.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Deep knowledge of digital content and original programming.

Proven experience working with editorial and content teams to develop go-to-market strategies and opportunities.

Expertise in collaborating with sales teams to drive revenue.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
