As the Associate Director – Safety Testing, you will serve as a technical leader overseeing complex harmonization projects and the implementation of new initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

Providing technical leadership to lab staff and cross-functional teams.

Leading and developing the execution of local and global laboratory technical support across various specialty areas.

Developing and leading the global laboratory quality program and database, performing statistical analysis and quality control performance reviews.

Overseeing complex projects and operational harmonization on a global scale.

Driving new initiatives globally and cross-functionally, ensuring global execution.

Serving as a subject matter expert for new platforms, assays, and kit selection, driving implementation.

Leading proficiency testing and accreditation programs across global labs to ensure harmonization.

Acting as a technical SME to liaise with IT/systems teams for appropriate functionality.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

9 years of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production laboratory environment.

Strong understanding of the clinical trial process and cross-functional dependencies.

Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders to achieve aligned goals.

Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, clinical laboratory assays, quality control, and validation procedures.

Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $122,400.00 - $227,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
