Job Description

Mission Technologies a division of HII and their Cyber, Electronic, Warfare & Space team is looking to hire a Systems Administrator in collaboration with other members of our Prototype Development Support. Must possess a strong mission focus to do new development, rapid prototyping, and analytics support in a variety of environments, using leading edge technologies.

This is a collaborative effort supporting other members of our Prototype Development Support group. Our team works with the prototype development program and we are looking for someone with drive and ambition along with a strong work ethic who is passionate about new development and rapid prototyping.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Provide systems administration support to the Red, Hunt and Blue teams supporting national Cybersecurity Defensive Operations.

Work closely with a team of professional systems administrators, developers and mission operators.

Position provides an opportunity to learn from other team members and share you knowledge with a receptive team.

If you like being able to do jack-of-all-trades support then this could be the position for you.

The work location is Laurel with convenient parking.

Position requires the ability to support requirements for:

Applying IAVAs and other updates

Support laptop builds for mission operations

Provide administrative support for Splunk Cluster

VM build and support

Centos administration

Some possible Windows Administration

Work with developers and operators to define requirements and design solutions

Knowledge of network engineering but position is limited in scope when it comes to networking engineering support required

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates Must be a US Citizen, due to the sensitivity of the work

Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph for consideration

Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field plus 5-years of relevant experience

Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience.

Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience

high school diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position

Experience with Java, Pig

Customer GHOSTMACHINE analytic development

Experience with Hadoop (Map Reduce, Accumulo, & Distributed File System (HDFS) #LI-SG1

Preferred Requirements

Familiarity with Nutanix

Familiarity with Splunk, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Airflow, GitLab, Jira.

Experience supporting hardware installation, supporting servers, desktops, network infrastructure.

Experience setting up storage such as network-attached storage or remote storage.

Experience implementing security best practices.

Familiarity with maintaining inventory of infrastructure hardware.​
