As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Product Management Intern, Software & Advisory to join our team in Northbrook, IL or Chicago, IL.

As a Software Product Management Intern on the Software and Advisory team, you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting product portfolio in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Digital products include supporting customers in developing and bringing to market safe consumer goods, helping design and operate renewable energy projects, learning and compliance management systems, carbon footprint measurement reporting, and more!

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with a senior product manager and cross-functional teams to develop and execute product strategies that align with UL Solutions' business goals

· Assist in the creation of Product Requirements Documents (PRD)

· Contribute to the development of product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and release planning

· Write epics, user stories and acceptance criteria; review and accept completed work

· Support project management activities, including coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables

· Work closely with your product management lead, designers and engineers to ensure successful product development and delivery

In addition to supporting a product development team, you will have opportunities to contribute to one or many of the following areas of focus:

AI and Machine Learning: developing AI and machine learning products that drive enhanced customer experiences, with a specific focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Business Analysis: analyzing customer feedback and data to identify key themes and insights, using insights to inform a comprehensive strategy and roadmap that aligns with customer-centric needs.

Experience and Visual Design: evaluating the user experience and visual design of UL Solutions' software to identify key gaps and areas for modernization, ensuring that the interface is intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly.

OKRs and KPIs: understanding the objectives and key results for a set of products, identifying data sources that support the key performance indicators, and working with the data teams to visualize performance and progress.

Regardless of the industry solution or theme assigned, you will be paired with a senior-level product manager who will serve as your mentor and guide throughout the internship. They will provide valuable insights and support in bringing a product or capability from the concept phase to a fully functional customer software.

Qualifications:

Rising Senior, currently pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Passion for technology and a desire to learn about the B2B software industry
