Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the information services program portfolio for the Department of Breast Imaging including the planning and performance of technical and non-technical initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between the various IS systems (Rush IT, Breast Imaging Platforms, EMR/EHR, etc.) and the assigned physician group practices, providing guidance and direction to successfully execute within the program portfolio.
The IS Program Lead can assist in the budget management, contract management and program communications of assigned program and processes, as well as ensure that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. Exemplifies the RUSH mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with RUSH policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assists with the support of the portfolio within their IS Group.
• Provides first level of contact and convey resolutions to the physicians, properly escalate any unresolved queries to the appropriate IS partner.
• Assists in the organizational development and enhancement of the program/process management competence.
• Maintains and monitors project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
• Coordinates project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
• Organizes, attending and participates in stakeholder meetings.
• Documents and follows up on important actions and decisions from meetings including system documentation and system specifications and procedures.
• Breaks projects into actions items and creates timeframes. Creates and maintains project plans with actionable timelines.
• Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
• Ensures project deadlines are met.
• Monitors project progress and handle any issues that arise. Provides on-site user support during implementations.
• Liaise with clients to identify and define project or program requirements, scope and objectives.
• Creates a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
• Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
• Ensures clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
• Performs builds, upgrades, and system enhancements as needed. Including developing test plans, preparing test data and performing system testing.
• Configures vendor applications and products.
• Mentors more junior members of the team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years’ experience in IT breast imaging.
• An Associate’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in IT breast imaging in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Project Management Skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make recommendations with supporting data.
• Strong oral and writing communications skills and ability to effectively communicate with leadership, medical and administrative staff.
• Create training documents and high-level presentations Technical/Computer Skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
• Working knowledge of Epic and/or EMR/EHR, Enterprise Imaging Platforms, and IT.
• Epic Radiant certification preferred.
