Caring. Connecting. Growing together.We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Principal Data Analyst to join our team. We need an Sr. Principal Data Analyst that will be responsible for delivery of Informatica components of a multi-terabyte Oracle Exadata environment that will contain public and private health care encounter and enrollment data from NYS healthcare plans. Data will be synthesized, using Informatica, to support the management, evaluation, and analysis of the NYS health care system. This project requires comprehensive knowledge of the Informatica product suite in that it includes not only PowerCenter, but also Master Data Management, Metadata Manager and Data Quality components of the solution. This role requires detailed knowledge of healthcare claims processing and member data management.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:Create data mapping and workflow using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform and load data into the NY APD target reporting environmentConform to Informatica workflow and mapping standards so development is consistent across all development resources (i.e., no hard coding, leverage of maplet, reuse concepts, etc.)Conduct ETL optimization, troubleshooting and debuggingDesign and develop test plans for ETL unit testing and integration testingTune and optimize ETL jobs for performance and throughput. Interact with data modelers and DBAs on data architecture optimization for ETL performanceProvide development support, including walk through approvals, to other ETL application resources to ensure that standards are followed, and optimized workflow is implementedAdvocate and enforce secure coding principles, as defined by State of New York coding policies, to ensure compliance with all NY standardsAssist in documenting and maintaining operational procedures in the form of an operations manual for all ETL workflowAssist with troubleshooting efforts for ETL job issues related to pre-production and productionAssist in designing and developing data validation processes using Informatica Data Quality.

Experience with 834, 837, NCPDP transactionsProven extensive knowledge and experience of healthcare claims, adjudication processing, and healthcare analysisExperience in code lifecycle management and repositories such as GIT & GitHub
Preferred Qualifications:Proven solid knowledge of HIPAA regulatory security requirementsExperience in performing data loads to support Optum Symmetry productOracle Exadata and experience with multi-terabyte data structuresProven knowledge of Informatica Test Data ManagerExperience with Informatica Data QualityExperience with Master Data ManagementKnowledge of healthcare member data management

The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
