Job Summary:
The Materials Manager will be responsible for all production scheduling, materials planning, inventory strategy, warehouse, and all materials project initiatives across our three production sites. The person in this position will be an important leader in our ERP implementation and associated processes and will be responsible for the on-going management of the system. This position is also a key enabler of lean and continuous improvement in the plant. Key performance indicators for this position are inventory turns, on-time shipping to promise date, and downtime for all production sites.Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 PMWage: $60,000 to $70,000 based upon years of experienceHow will you make a difference?Primary point of responsibility for materials management and planning strategy for all sites.
Hire, train, and manage temporary & full-time Warehouse Team Leads in Warehouse.Conduct annual performance reviews for full-time Warehouse Team Leads.Organize & track all incoming raw materials into warehouseTrack all incoming shipments from various vendorsTrack and coordinator trucks to pick up finished goods to be delivered to customers.
Ensures optimization of materials management activities including scheduling, purchasing, inventory planning, indirect materials management, and warehouse.
Coordinates Production Scheduling for all three facilitiesPlans material planning for all three facilitiesOversees all inventory strategy at MinnetonkaInitiates materials projects within all three facilities
Responsible for the implementation, support and compliance of the Materials and S&OP processes and systems to facilitate the fulfillment process from production planning to material procurement and order management.
Be part of the ERP- Accumtica implementation team.Ensure all data in ERP-Accumatica is accuratePull reports from ERP-Accumatica for material management and inventory control management.
Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming key processes.
Create & oversee the KPIS for inventory turns, on-time shipping, promise date, and downtime for all production sites.Implement lean and continuous improvements within Minnetonka facility
What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.APICS Certification is preferred.A minimum of five years of experience in the integrated functions of materials management in a manufacturing environment that has embraced lean concepts and MRP manufacturing practices.A minimum of minimum years in managerial experience focusing on standardizing planning & execution, warehouse management, and talent development.Experience with job shop manufacturing environments.Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP, visual management systems, scheduling, and lean manufacturing processes.
