Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Special Projects Specialist. As a member of the Clients & Markets (C&M) Special Projects team, this position will support C&M efforts to advance the strategic initiatives and enhance the Firm’s visibility and market position of Dentons US in an efficient manner; and will help align resources to provide solutions for our lawyers and clients. This position will liaise closely with members of the broader Dentons US C&M Department as well as colleagues throughout the US Region and globally. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Special Projects.
Responsibilities
Provide functional support to the Special Projects team to facilitate various projects and initiatives that drive the development of new and existing business
Contribute to the Firm’s business development strategy by providing market intelligence expertise, market assessments, and related analytics that aid client opportunities
Generate client data and C&M financial analytics via the Firm’s financial platform
Develop analyses of competitive landscaping, including the Firm’s performance and that of others in the market
Identify external resources to assist in understanding the competitive environment
Prepare industry/company target lists, reports and profiles including background information, advisory relationships and market intelligence utilizing internal and external data sources
Develop and maintain tracking systems while providing analyses of key competitors, top clients and targets, notable markets and geographies, and spot emerging competitive threats and trends
Establish protocols and systems to identify opportunities, monitor competitors and anticipate trends that may impact clients or the Firm
Manage and coordinate a variety of short and long-term projects and day-today requests
Enhance the quality of departmental resources through regular review/optimization of materials and collateral
Assist with the ongoing management of the C&M Teams channel
Produce PowerPoints and other types of presentation materials for client opportunities
Collaborate with marketing and other business services professionals throughout the firm, across functions and teams
Act as a resource to junior team members
Other duties as needed to fully meet the requirements of the role
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five+ years of marketing, business development and/or competitive intelligence experience is desired; professional services industry or previous law firm experience preferred
Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with the demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments and function as part of a cohesive team
Exceptional research, analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional client-first work ethic
Strong attention to detail and superior multi-tasking skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work effectively and in a sometimes stressful environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and organizational skills
Knowledge of related market intelligence tools, including but not limited to, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters Monitor Suite, and PitchBook
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and CRM (InterAction)
Salary
Washington DC Only DOE: $85,000 - $100,000
