Job Description
Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Lead with our client in Minneapolis, MN.
Job Summary:
As the Senior Data Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. You will lead a team of data engineers, driving best practices in data integration, modeling, and reporting. Your expertise in Snowflake and Databricks will be crucial in optimizing our data pipelines and ensuring data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures and pipelines using Snowflake and Databricks.
Oversee data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow from various sources into our data warehouse.
Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
Implement and manage data cataloging processes to enhance data discoverability and governance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and provide insights through effective data reporting.
Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to our data strategy.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on data architecture and engineering principles.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling and ETL processes.
Proficiency with Databricks is highly desirable.
Strong experience in data integration tools and techniques.
Expertise in data modeling, data cataloging, and reporting frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
