Governance by Design

Analyst

. The role will report to the Head of Data Governance by Design and will be responsible for implementing proactive data governance for data assets early in the lifecycle and establish mechanisms for continuous monitoring and improvement of data governance processes.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely withData Governance by Deign lead to establish Data Governance by Design requirements for new initiatives.

Assess data governance needs for new initiatives or changes to HR applications / processes and execute activities to apply Data Governance by Design.

Administer and manage Jira backlog and activities to ensure timely execution of Data Governance by Design initiatives.

Creating and managing reports within Jira to monitor progress, track issues, and communicate project status effectively.

Developing, customizing, and maintainingJira Dashboards to perform status reporting for different stakeholders using widgets and gadgets, as applicable.

Implement end to end executionactivities for Data Governance by Designinitiatives.

Develop execution plans for initiatives and ensure deliverables are completed on time, identifyrisks, and provide consistent status reporting.

Build relationships with HR stakeholders and provide inputs for developing status updates to Data Leadership forums.

Work closely with Data Governance by Design lead and the Data Program Enablement team to ensure successful adaptation of Data Governance by Design framework.

Contribute to monitoring activities to measure the success of Data Governance by Design framework and partner on improvement initiatives to enhance process.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in data governance, preferably in the financial services industry

Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and data risk management principles

Knowledge and understanding of HR Data strongly preferred.

Product Owner / Scrum Master Certification is a big plus.

Jira reporting experience and skills such as creating and managing reports within Jira to monitor progress, track issues, and communicate project status effectively.

Proficiency in Jira Query Language (JQL) to create customized, dynamic filters for reports.

Proficiency in Jira bulk create and update functionality, capacity tracking and managing custom fields to capture program needs.

Ability to generate and analyze Agile Reports such as Sprint burndown, epic burndown, velocity, and cumulative flow diagrams.

Strong project management / coordination skills

Optimizes work processes by knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, while monitoring tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes

Ability to communicate effectively.

Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience required.

$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
