The Director will assist our clients in aggregating and analyzing data to drive portfolio optimization scenarios and decisions that better align with business needs and objectives. The role will ensure we deliver leading commercial real estate strategies to enable employee productivity and minimize business disruption while easily responding to changing business needs. Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Director of Strategic Planning who is highly proactive with strong written and oral communication skills and industry experience who values collaboration, integrity, and our clients ultimate satisfaction with the services we provide.**Job Description**Manage a regional team of strategy professionals, ensuring all contracted deliverables are met and objectives reachedAnalyze corporate clients real estate portfolios and develop strategies and plans to achieve long-term operational and financial goalsMonitor and support compliance with governance policies and procedures, identifying and mitigating risks as they ariseCollaborate with the C&W platform, C&W service line functions, and with stakeholders within the clients organization to develop the right solutions and to drive approval and implementationLead and facilitate meetings/presentations to obtain direction, alignment, and buy-inAssist in efforts to leverage insights, collaboration and delivery to ensure that we at Cushman are the industry leader in strategy and innovationProvide ad hoc benchmarking metrics, e.g. against financial companies, regarding cost, space usage, strategy and services on a regular basisResearch, bring forward, and be a thought leader in evolving global workplace trendsOversee all research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and organize data into logical communication and messages as part of client presentation materialsBuild effective client relationships to help the team meet or exceed key performance indicatorsDevelop 3 to 5-year strategic plan for all sites in portfolio and review annually with client; ensure plan is captured in the capital planning processDevelop Site or Metro Strategies for critical or challenged sitesSupport client annual planning, budget development, and decisionsResponsible for quality control review of deliverables produced by Market Planning, as well as peers in Occupancy Planning and Project ManagementEnsure accuracy of management information systems across numerous platformsMonitor and report on performance against key performance indicators and service level agreementsConsolidate findings into actionable insights for client presentationsAbility to synthesize data to transform and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levelsPossess collaborative, inclusive, engaging, inquisitive, and creative demeanorKnowledge and Experience:Bachelors degree in Business or Real Estate; Masters degree preferred7 to 10 yrs progressive real estate portfolio strategy experience requiredExperience managing remote teamsApplicable understanding of commercial real estate practices requiredStrong background and proven experience with portfolio strategy / planningProficiency in finance and accounting concepts, as well as financial modeling, are essential for success in this positionAbility to handle large amounts of data, identify key information, and provide insightful recommendations to all levels within the organization with minimal directionAbility to analyze qualitative and quantitative informationSuperior understanding of business concepts and the ability to creatively apply these to varying client needsAbility to influence and manage clients using superior anticipation of needs, relationship building, communication, presentation and leadership skillsQuality engagement of clients, partners and prospects; maintain professional, positive, well-documented client communicationsExceptional attention to detail, organizational, time management and prioritization skillsSelf-starting entrepreneurial approach with a sense of urgencyTravel up to 25%Cushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
