We are seeking dedicated, passionate individuals who would like the opportunity to be part of a team with a patient-centered approach, which brings decades of experience in providing the most evidence based, innovative musculoskeletal & orthopedic care. *JOB SUMMARY The Bone and Joint Institute is a multidisciplinary group of providers united by the common goal to deliver safe, efficient, world class, comprehensive musculoskeletal care in Connecticut, nationally, and internationally. Our collaborative team uses data-driven decisions to continually enhance patient-focused care that is supported by critical thinking, research, education, and innovation in order to continuously promote and improve the musculoskeletal health and well-being of every patient. In this innovative role, the Program Manager is instrumental in implementing and managing strategic initiatives of the Orthopedic/Orthopedic Trauma Service Line. The Program Manager will play a key role in the success of the service line growth and development. Key areas of responsibility * Collaborate with the Physician Service Line leader in addition to Orthopedic and Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons to facilitate Service Line Meetings focused on institute operations, clinical excellence, and Patient Experience. * Trauma liaison to ensure American College of Surgeons (ACS) guidelines are achieved and sustained. * Collaborate with Nurse Navigators to optimize patient experience through the care continuum, provide safe patient care through strategic initiatives focused on decreasing preventable patient returns to ED, and conduct real time patient rounding. * Provide primary oversight of Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification for Fragility Hip Fracture including data validation with the Data Analytics Team. * Continuous support towards quality and safety initiatives to meet mandatory requirements and regulations (Department of Public Health, CMS and Joint Commission). * Lead and coordinate Service Line quality improvement initiatives, process improvements, A3s with the multidisciplinary team. * Onboarding of Orthopedic Residents and new surgeons to include education and overview of guidelines. * In partnership with the Data Analytics Team supports data quality, coding compliance, and registry requirements for Fracture Trauma Registry (FTR). * Ensure proper Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) captures on selected virtual platforms. * In alignment with our continuous improvement culture, you may have an opportunity to participate in Hartford HealthCare (HHC) developments. Minimum Requirements Education * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Health Administration, Management or related discipline preferred * Bachelors of Science Degree or related Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, etc if not a clinician (RN, Pharm, PT) Experience * At least three years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Previous experience in regulatory and Joint Commission accreditation process. * Skills and knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Tableau). Licensure, Certification, Registration * Valid CT RN License, or related clinical field Preferred Requirements Education * Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Management or related discipline preferred Experience * At least five years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Previous experience in regulatory and Joint Commission accreditation process. * Skills and knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Tableau). Licensure, Certification, Registration * ONC, CNOR, or related certifications Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements * * * Knowledge of clinical operational management. * Strong communication [written and verbal] and customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including professional staff, patients, community, and other service agencies. * Demonstrates leadership and problem solving skills * Self-directed, organized, with an acute awareness to details * Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data, PROMS, Joint Commission and other regulatory data * Flexibility with strong ability to adapt to change * Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a high level of initiative and follow through capability.
