Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the food processing/manufacturing industry. This role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for organizing and directing the financial affairs of the company. The Controller will maintain the system of accounts, oversee books and records on all company transactions and assets, and prepare financial statements, and banking requirements along with all reports and analyses as required. This position requires a hands-on approach to execute day-to-day corporate accounting responsibilities and duties.

Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain all company accounting records.Design, implement, and monitor the annual corporate plan.Develop short- and long-range financial objectives.Develop and recommend budgets, authorize expenditures in accordance with budgets, and approve expenses of staff.Prepare and maintain payroll, sales, AP/AR, and tax requirements and returns.Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements as well as anticipate future legislation, and meet all State and Federal reporting and compliance requirements.Execute day-to-day corporate accounting responsibilities and duties.Produce financial status reports for senior managers to help improve operational efficiency and aid in continued rapid growth.Responsible for accounting operations, including AR/AP, monthly closings, bank reconciliations, payroll, and other financial reporting as well as budgeting and forecasting.Produce periodic financial reports; ensuring that all reported results are GAAP compliant and meet reporting standards.Maintain QuickBooks with a well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures, developing a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.Produce and maintain budget and forecasts; report budget variance to management.Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments.Assist with contract negotiations.Work with external accountants and auditors and provide needed information for audits.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements and tax reporting.Represent and maintain high ethical standards, with the strongest sense of integrity and commitment to professional conduct.Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned in a rapidly changing business environment.Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.Superior numeric skills.Experience with QuickBooks and other relevant software.Proficiency in GAAP and other financial reporting standards.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to work in a rapidly changing business environment.Strong sense of integrity and commitment to professional conduct.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is preferred.
