Trustar Bank is currently seeking an experienced Deposit Operations Specialist that will primarily be responsible for providing operational assistance to the deposit operations and treasury management area including but not limited to end user support, new account origination, onboarding and servicing. This position will follow all established policies and procedures of the Bank.
Summary of Job Duties:
Monitor and review all Account Maintenance Activity including daily processing for deposit accounts, online banking, wires and corporate cash management services.
Daily reconcilement of internal and suspense accounts related to deposits and to verify data input to the Deposit System application to avoid losses to income and to control costs.
Signature Card Verification/Maintenance.
Assists with exception item processing, which includes non-post account, chargebacks, ACH returns, check adjustments and overdraft processing.
Debit Card processing and reconcilement.
Assists with the Regulation E dispute process.
Review of online block entries.
Timely and accurate processing of the Wire Transfers and daily balancing.
Ensures accurate data input into the core deposit system.
Deposit Operations Specialist will assist with other duties as assigned and serve as backup for other team members.
Requirements include:
BS/BA degree in Business; Finance or Business Administration preferred
ACH certified or ACH certification candidate preferred
3+ years bank operations experience or bank branch experience
Detail and deadline oriented
Ability to work in a team environment under tight deadlines
Strong MS Office skills including Excel
Strong data mining skills (e,g. Cognos)
Ability to interact positively with all levels of management and a variety of vendors
Experience with Jack Henry core strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Effective problem-solving skills
Excellent documentation skills
Excellent attention to detail is required
Strong analytical skills
Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
