The Operations - Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and logistics. This individual will be responsible for managing the procurement process, tracking orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring that materials arrive on time, undamaged, and complete. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities •
Order Placement & Tracking:
• Place orders for materials and supplies based on project requirements and inventory levels. • Track the status of orders and update project managers and stakeholders on progress. •
Logistics Coordination:
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials. • Manage the scheduling of deliveries to align with project timelines. •
Quality Control:
• Inspect incoming materials for damage and completeness. • Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers promptly. •
Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and reorder points. • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data accuracy. •
Vendor Relationships:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers. •
Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory. • Generate reports on purchasing and inventory metrics for management review. •
Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing and logistics processes.
