Join us.Itron is looking for aProduct Managerto be responsible for our North American water metering activities, which is part of our end-to-end solutions that enable Itron to deliver positive outcomes for our water customers. As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing business plans, managing pricing, and owning the roadmap to determine a feature set that positions your products in the marketplace. You will champion the business health of your portfolio and will work with all organizational disciplines to ensure we deliver reliable products to the market and our customer. While managing the overall vision of the product line, you own the roadmap and will work with Product Marketing, Engineering and Sales to facilitate new product introduction, as well as end of life strategies.Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing NAM water metering portfolio and related business performance (revenue & margin)Maintain forecast and 3-year pipeline, secure business plans realizationContribute to defining mid to long term product / segment strategy and owning execution of defined strategies.Develop and adapt various product-related documents including marketing collateral, help documentation, and instructional materials, including pre- and post-sales product requests.Define product positioning and pricing, maintain and update price listsOversees market research and monitors competitive activityWrite and update product requirements documents for new products and present improvement plans to senior management.Work closely with customers, prospects, and marketing to define product requirements for new products.Participate to Itron product offerings at trade shows and other industry events.Required Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing or similar portfolio managementAbility to work toward targeted project deadlines and drive cross-functional teams to meet deadlinesExperience building and executing business planning processExperience managing a P&L with a long-term forecast that understands the market, customer segment, and how to define business strategy.Understanding of B2B/enterprise business environment, industrial manufacturing processes and understanding of water utility processesDefining go to market and product launch plansPreferred Skills & Experience:
Master's degree in engineering or marketing, MBA is a plusSubject matter expert in the water industry or other utility industryBenefits Info:
