Proposal Specialist (Generation Division)
Join a dynamic team helping to meet society’s evolving energy needs! POWER Engineers is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist for our Power Generation team. This professional position requires the ability to lead large proposal efforts and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The ideal candidate should have outstanding communication talents, a keen eye for detail, sales and positioning knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage concurrent work streams and approach each initiative with a positive can-do attitude.
This role can be remote or hybrid based on a mutually agreed-upon location. Candidates must be available to work during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8-5) and be flexible/available to work occasional hours outside this schedule.

Primary duties include:
Coordinate and manage the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and other related materials
Work with Project Managers and the project team to gather appropriate material/information needed to meet the requirements of the RFP
Consolidate team member input into clear and meaningful responses
Assemble and package proposals/documents from inception through final product
Assure all information is accurate and in compliance with all RFI/RFP response requirements per brand guidelines
Provide timely entry of accurate and complete client and opportunity information in Dynamics CE CRM
Develop, manage, and execute special project assignments as needed
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, with preference for majors in English, technical writing, journalism, or similar
10+ years of experience with proposal writing or 15+ years of grant writing or technical writing experience
High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and follow-through
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to a successful outcome
Effective time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks based on shifting needs
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Expertise with MS Word
Proficient in other standard MS Office and Adobe software
Experience using client relationship databases, MS Dynamics preferred
Experience with search techniques in a database environment
Desired Education/Experience:
Engineering consulting/technical or energy industry experience
Knowledge of SharePoint, MS Teams, PowerBI and using Copilot or other AI Chatbots
APMP Foundation Level Certification
Advanced degree
Familiarity with and interest in AI content generation and strategy best practices and challenges

DOE Salary: The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
