We are looking for a passionate and motivated Community Relations & Employee Engagement Specialist to join our team at Oxy. This entry-level position is perfect for recent college graduates eager to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. The Specialist will help develop and implement strategies that strengthen relationships between the company, local communities, and stakeholders.

Description
Partner with Community Relations & Employee Supervisor to ensure outstanding implementation of Oxy’s community relations and social investment programs; identify ways to further enhance our social impact, leverage employee engagement, and create sustainable solutions in the communities where we live and work.
Support community investment projects and initiatives that align with the company’s goals and values. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective project execution.
Conduct research on community demographics, needs, and interests to inform program development and engagement strategies.
Analyze data and feedback to identify trends, community needs, and opportunities for engagement.
Establish metrics for community investments and involvement and provide recommendations on future projects.
Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, materials preparation, and attendee communication.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams for external marketing deliverables.
Update and maintain internal community relations site, including posting upcoming community engagement events, updating content to community partner pages, and highlighting community partners, and social impact announcements.
Demonstrate planning, change management and strategic thinking capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate community and employee engagement into broader company initiatives.
Assist with community partnerships and program implementation.
Prepare pre and post event reports and maintain engagement metrics.
Attend and represent the team at sponsored events as needed.
Assist in training sessions for employees on community engagement initiatives.
Foster relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance community partnerships.
Support the Community Relations & Employee Engagement team and special projects as assigned.
