EX Position Summary The Principal Educator is responsible for the design, development and implementation of organization-wide education for MultiCare's electronic medical record (Epic). Education is delivered through a variety of modalities, and effective processes to ensure comprehension of curriculum is occurring. The Principal Educator uses up to date knowledge and skills associated with the content being delivered, and often acts as a subject matter expert in the technical/functional area of the content. Develops and implements strategies and education to support quality initiatives, process improvement and best practice methods. Independently completes gap analysis/workflow analysis for projects and implementations, through this analysis, areas of improvement are identified, and education is appropriately aligned to audience need and organizational objectives. Consistently evaluates education materials and curriculum to ensure alignment with changing workflows, processes and policies.

Requirements Bachelor's degree; 4 additional years specific healthcare, technology or education related experience may be substituted for degree Epic certification preferred Minimum five (5) years combined teaching and experience in area of expertise Minimum two (2) years of experience in creating, designing and writing training curriculum required Experience in Epic Hyperspace or other EMR system preferred Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $86,944.00 - $125,091.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
