What Will You Be Doing?
Oversees the resources, functions and operations of the Yield Management department with specific focus on driving revenue production through process, systems, and automation enhancement.
Essential Functions
Oversees the revenue performance and inventory strategy for Frontier’s portfolio of routes
Responsible for owning and providing strategic direction for Revenue Management’s forward roadmap from day-to-day business process opportunities to large cross-functional initiatives
Develop a manager and team of analysts to drive day-to-day revenue production, determine revenue maximizing strategies, and automation opportunities.
Work cross-functionally with Analytics and Decision Science teams on system configuration and enhancements, inventory automation processes, and reporting needs
Reports key KPIs and progress against initiatives to senior leadership on a regular basis
Continued development/refinement of best practices and training of both 3-party and internal revenue management systems/solutions
Works collaboratively with pricing, ancillary, network, and other stakeholders to drive overall revenue performance and champion continuous improvement across the business
Other Functions
Assists in the teaching/training of analysts to maximize revenues through various tools
Process optimization – including determining needs, designing solutions, and implementation
Leadership and team building
Monitor and manage the revenue management system
Monitor and manage analysts as it relates to maximizing revenues
Strong collaborator within the department, other internal departments, and relevant 3 parties
Manage and develop direct reporting employees
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management or related field; combination of relevant education and work experience considered in lieu of degree
5+ years of experience in pricing and revenue management preferred
2+ years of direct people leadership experience required
2+ years of experience with day to day usage of a revenue management system preferred
Airline revenue management experience preferred
MBA may be considered in lieu of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and people development skills
Experience working with revenue management systems, processes, and automation with solid understanding of demand forecasting and optimization
Proficient in SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint required; experience with Python, R, or similar languages preferred
Knowledgeable on revenue management systems, demand forecasting and optimization types with a proven track record of delivering continuous improvements
Thorough understanding of revenue management fundamentals beyond core yield management with experience collaborating between multiple groups to drive revenue production
Demonstrates consistent deductive skills; strong critical thinking skills
Eye for identifying need for process improvements and ability to translate into an action plan
Able to clearly and concisely summarize performance trends or variance to route-level forecasts to all levels of the organization from analysts to executives
Excellent analytical, communications and interpersonal skills
