In this role, you will enhance our underwriting processes and user experience through data-driven and GenAI solutions, leveraging third-party data. You will provide innovative solutions for informed and guided decisions across all market sizes, manage product delivery and champion change management. Key responsibilities include developing new product ideas, overseeing product documentation, maintaining product roadmaps, and managing a team of Product Owners. You will also build strong partnerships between IT and business teams and maintain a competitive advantage through user feedback and market analysis. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of underwriting processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Prioritizes the development of business capabilities, defines minimum viable products (MVP), and accountable for building and maintaining product roadmaps.Manages and monitors activities and results of the Product Owner team to ensure accurate, quality work. Supervises and coaches direct reports including overseeing performance reviews, hiring & training, salary reviews, development planning and day to day guidance.Oversees end-to-end delivery of products, from deployment to adoption. Manages implementation plan and monitors progress of the team.Champions change management, ensuring that training and communication plans are in place. Gathers and analyzes data on training effectiveness and updates as needed.Builds cohesive partnership between Information Technology and business segment teams, identifying and solving communication gaps, driving process improvement, communicating transparently and representing product team challenges.Oversees integration of customer feedback and customer input and manages feedback loop on product features, user experience and enhancements.Develops and maintains effective partnerships with business segment leaders, building credibility and leveraging expertise to create alignment with the business strategy and vision.Gathers and analyzes information on competitive intelligence, industry trends and consumer needs. Creates and implements strategy to maintain competitive advantage.Empowered to take decisive action on behalf of the team within pre-established guidelines; ensures team members are empowered to make decisions within their guidelines.Partner with business and process owners to track product outcomes and validate benefits realization; institute data-driven decision making to measure success or failure.
Requirements and Qualifications:Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills.Possesses strong knowledge and practical application of Agile methodologies.Possesses strong knowledge of software development life cycles.Effective ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.Fosters teamwork, collaboration and a positive work environment.Ability to coach, lead and supervise a team of direct.Highly proficient ability to write and interpret requirement documents for complex business systems reports.Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions based on diverse perspectives and effective use of data in a timely manner, even when faced with imperfect information.Effectively manages and executes on the appropriate balance between strategic thinking and attention to detail.
The expected starting salary range for this role is$119,000 - $188,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint.
