Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in Houston, TX is currently seeking an Assistant Project Managers to join our East Texas team in the greater Houston & College Stations areas! The Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager in planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for each project. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager in compliance with plans and specs' contract duration and project anticipated profits. Assist the Project Manager in the compliance of Company policies regarding subcontracts in 45 days, submittals in 90 days and project close-out within a timely duration of 45 days. Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the timely submittal of pay applications, invoices, status reports, cost reports and use of scheduling procedures. Handles the organization, distribution, filing and tracking of project documents. Assist the Project Manager in use of cost reporting and accurate projections for the Labor Report and Cost Analysis. Adhere to company safety guidelines for a safe workplace. Maintain a good project team relationship with the design team, subcontractors, and vendors. Assist the Project Manager with mentoring new employees. Assist as needed with MEP/BIM coordination. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering or any applicable degree program required. 3-5 years previous commercial construction experience from Internships, Co-Ops, Apprenticeships, Part-time or Full-time jobs. Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and able to operate a computer.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong planning and organizational skills. Valid Texas Driver's license and meet company's auto insurability requirements. Effective written and oral communication skills. Works well without close supervision.
