Job Overview The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production related to their designated work area for the shift including goals/targets, quality, training, and data recording. Duties and Responsibilities

Creates and sustain a safe work environmentAdheres to and ensure employees are following all safety requirementsCompletes accident reports immediately after accident happens and notify the safety coordinator, production manager/supervisor, plant manager and HRResponsible for quality of work performed, inspect 1 st off parts to ensure qualityVerify changes in designated area when neededAdhere to attendance policyResponds to production related issues, orders, and production demandsMeets or exceeds production targetsConduct weekly shift meetings, when necessary, with employees to review safety and general noticesRead and complete shift pass down reports, when neededEnsure all training requirements are met for employeesAssist in performance evaluations when needed in a timely mannerProvide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.Responsible to building a strong team through motivation, coaching and mentoringAssist with projects as assigned by manager/supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years production experience, preferably most recent in a lead roleHigh school diplomaKnowledgeable with and/or able to learn key areas of responsibilityAbility to train employees to perform job requirementsMust be able to handle different situations that will arise including emergency situationsMust be tactful in dealing with different personality typesForklift certified by Trilogy Plastics/Myers certified trainerCPR certified if requiredPossess adequate computer skillsGood communication and organization skillsAbility to read and write proficiently

Working Conditions Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time. This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include:

Ovens, torches, and rotating toolsForklifts and other moving machineryLoud work environment

Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
